MS Excel to MySQL > Tutorial
Step 3 of 5. Select Source and Destination
On this wizard screen user should select the source MS Excel spreadsheet
(*.xls) or CSV file and the destination MySQL database or dump file (depending
on conversion scenario has been chosen). If name of an existing MySQL database or
dump file is specified, it will be overwritten. While converting from CSV file
user should also specify MySQL table name. If name of an existing MySQL table
is specified, it will be overwritten.
The sufficient privileges to create new database on MySQL server are
required. Otherwise, it is possible to import MS Excel data into
an existing MySQL database. See Virtual
Server User Notes for related information.
Also, user can specify log file to write execution traces of the conversion
process. Leave this field blank to disable logging.
